Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Arrange the bacon slices on the baking sheet and bake until crispy, about 15-20 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
Cooking
- In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar, butter, maple syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
- Once it reaches a boil, let it boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and baking soda. The mixture will bubble up.
- Chop the bacon and add it to the caramel mixture along with the pecans. Stir to combine.
- Spread the mixture onto the lined baking sheet and bake for another 10 minutes.
- Let it cool completely before breaking into pieces. Enjoy!
