  • 1.5 cups milk, dairy or dairy free
  • 1 cup yogurt, dairy or dairy free
  • 4 mandarin oranges, peeled
  • 1 frozen banana Use a ripe banana for extra sweetness.
  • 2 tablespoons ground flaxseeds Can substitute with chia seeds.
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preparation
  1. Add all of the ingredients to a high-powered blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into a glass and enjoy!

Notes

This smoothie pairs well with a light breakfast or as a snack. For a fun twist, add a slice of mandarin on the rim of the glass or sprinkle some extra ground flaxseeds on top for added texture. You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours or freeze in an ice cube tray.
