Preparation
- Wash the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- In a pot, combine the rice, water, and salt. Bring it to a boil.
- Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked and water is absorbed.
Cooking
- In a separate pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the mixed vegetables and cook for about 5 minutes until tender.
- If using chicken, add it to the vegetables and stir well.
- Mix the cooked rice into the vegetable and chicken mixture. Add soy sauce and stir everything together.
Serving
- Serve the dish warm, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
Notes
You can store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. For longer storage, freeze in portions. Customize the dish with different vegetables, spices, or sauces.
