Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 2 lbs baby potatoes You can also use regular potatoes cut into chunks.
  • 1 cup bacon bits Freshly fried bacon can be used for extra crunch.
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese Sharp cheddar gives the best flavor.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Added at the end for a cool, tangy contrast.
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning This ingredient elevates the flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Place your baby potatoes directly into the slow cooker without pre-cooking or parboiling them.
  2. Pour the bacon bits over the potatoes and sprinkle the ranch seasoning on top. Stir to coat the potatoes evenly.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on LOW for 6 to 8 hours or on HIGH for 3 to 4 hours until the potatoes are tender.
  2. Once fully cooked, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the potatoes and let it melt with the residual heat for 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Dollop sour cream over the melted cheese just before serving.
  4. Serve directly from the slow cooker.

Notes
