  • 1 loaf 1 loaf of bread (Italian or French) Use day-old bread for better texture.
  • 1 cup 1 cup pizza sauce Can substitute with marinara sauce if needed.
  • 2 cups 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese Feel free to mix with other cheeses.
Toppings
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup sliced olives
  • 1/4 cup 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and place it on a baking sheet.
  3. Spread pizza sauce evenly over each half.
  4. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously on top.
  5. Add sliced bell peppers, mushrooms, and olives.
  6. Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  7. Top with grated Parmesan cheese.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
Serving
  1. Remove from the oven, garnish with fresh basil leaves, and slice to serve.

Notes
