Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 lb ground veal
  • 1 cup crushed ice Helps keep the meat mixture moist
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground coriander
  • 1/4 tsp mace
  • 1 small onion, finely grated Chop finely to avoid large chunks
  • 1 tbsp butter For greasing the loaf pan

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Mix the ground pork and veal in a food processor until smooth.
  3. Gradually add the crushed ice while mixing.
  4. Add salt, white pepper, ground coriander, mace, and finely grated onion; blend everything thoroughly.
  5. Grease a loaf pan with butter and fill it with the meat mixture, smoothing the top evenly.
  6. Score a cross pattern on the top of the loaf.
Cooking
  1. Bake for 60–70 minutes, or until the top is browned.
  2. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm with mustard and fresh bread. Pairs well with pickles or a simple salad.
