Ingredients
  

Chicken and Marinade
  • 8 pieces Chicken pieces Mix of thighs and drumsticks recommended for flavor
  • 2 cups Buttermilk Can substitute with milk and vinegar
Coating Mixture
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/4 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • 1 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1 tsp Onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne pepper Adjust for spice preference
For Cooking
  • 1 can Vegetable oil cooking spray For light coating on chicken

Method
 

Marinating
  1. Marinate the chicken pieces in buttermilk for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Preparing Coating
  1. In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper.
Coating Chicken
  1. Remove chicken from buttermilk and dredge in the flour mixture, ensuring even coating.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. Spray the coated chicken pieces lightly with vegetable oil.
  3. Arrange the chicken in the air fryer basket without overcrowding.
  4. Cook for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
