For the Cake
  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened Make sure it's at room temperature
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup sour cream
  • 0.25 cup fresh key lime juice
  • Zest of 2 key limes
For the Glaze
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons fresh key lime juice

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Stir in the sour cream, key lime juice, and zest.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for about 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
Making the Glaze
  1. For the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar and key lime juice until smooth.
  2. Drizzle over the cooled cake and serve.
