  • 2.5 cups Fresh blackberries, washed Ensure the blackberries are well washed.
  • 1 cup Sugar Adjust sugar quantity to taste.
For the cobbler batter
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 1 stick Unsalted butter, melted For a richer flavor.

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, stir together the blackberries and sugar. Let sit for 25-30 minutes to allow the blackberries to release their juices.
  2. Preheat your oven to 375°F.
  3. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, salt, and milk together until smooth.
  4. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
Baking
  1. Pour the batter into a baking dish.
  2. Evenly distribute the macerated blackberries and sugar over the batter.
  3. Bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, or until the top is golden brown.
  4. Let it cool for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm, topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. Reheat before serving.
