Ingredients

For the Beef Skewers
  • 1 lb beef sirloin, cut into cubes Use high-quality beef for best flavor.
  • 2 tbsp olive oil For marinating the beef.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Add to marinade for flavor.
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp salt Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
For the Fries
  • 2 medium potatoes, cut into fries Choose good quality potatoes.
For the Salad
  • 1 cup lettuce, chopped
  • 1/2 medium tomato, sliced
  • 1/4 medium red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 medium cucumber, chopped

Method

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, toss the beef cubes with olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Make sure all the beef is coated well.
  2. Take the marinated beef cubes and thread them onto skewers.
Cooking
  1. Heat your grill to medium-high and grill the skewers for about 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally until they are cooked to your liking.
  2. While the beef is grilling, toss the potato fries with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread them on a baking tray and bake at 425°F (220°C) for 25–30 minutes until they are golden and crispy.
Salad Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, sliced tomato, cucumber, and thinly sliced red onion. Mix well.
Serving
  1. Once everything is ready, serve the grilled beef skewers with crispy fries and the fresh salad on the side.

Notes

For more flavor, let the beef marinate for a few hours or overnight. Use a mix of different vegetables in the salad for variety. Try different seasonings like cumin or chili powder for a twist on the beef marinade. Soak wooden skewers in water before using them to prevent burning on the grill.
