  • 1 cup sea salt
  • 3-4 pieces fresh jalapeños, finely chopped Use more for spicier salt.
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 200°F (95°C).
  2. Spread the chopped jalapeños on a baking sheet and dry them in the oven for about 2 hours or until completely dry.
Mixing
  1. In a food processor, combine the dried jalapeños, sea salt, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Blend until everything is finely mixed and the jalapeños are incorporated into the salt.
Storage
  1. Store the jalapeño salt in an airtight container.

Notes

Store in a cool, dark place like a pantry, it should last for several months when stored properly. You can experiment with adding other spices, like smoked paprika or chili powder, for a different flavor.
