- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the pizza dough into a rectangle on a floured surface.
- Spread marinara sauce over the dough, leaving a 1-inch border.
- Layer mozzarella cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and bell peppers over the sauce.
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and Italian seasoning if using.
- Roll the dough tightly, starting from one long edge, and pinch the ends to seal.
Baking
- Place the stromboli seam-side down on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the top with the beaten egg and make a few slits on the top for steam to escape.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving with extra marinara sauce.
Notes
Use your favorite toppings to customize your Stromboli. Roll the dough tightly to prevent filling leaks. For a crispy crust, brush with olive oil before baking.
