Fries
  • 2 large Potatoes For fries, any type of potato can be used.
  • 4 cups Oil For frying
  • to taste Salt
Hot Dogs
  • 8 links Hot dogs You can use turkey, chicken, or veggie hot dogs.
  • 8 pieces Hot dog buns
Toppings
  • to taste Ketchup
  • to taste Mustard
  • 1 small Onion, chopped
  • to taste Relish
  • to taste Cheese, optional For topping
  • to taste Sauerkraut, optional For topping

Method
 

Preparation of Fries
  1. Peel and cut the potatoes into thin strips. Rinse them in cold water, then pat them dry.
  2. Heat oil in a deep fryer or a large pot to 350°F (175°C).
  3. Fry the potato strips in small batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-5 minutes.
  4. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt.
Preparation of Hot Dogs
  1. Meanwhile, grill or boil the hot dogs according to your preference.
  2. Toast the hot dog buns if desired.
Serving
  1. Serve the hot dogs in the buns with your choice of toppings (ketchup, mustard, onions, relish, cheese, sauerkraut) alongside the crispy fries.
