For the chicken
  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-size pieces
  • 2 tbsp butter Divided use
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
For the creamy sauce
  • 1 cup heavy cream Warm before adding to sauce
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
For garnish (optional)
  • chopped parsley For garnish on top

Method

Preparation
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook until al dente according to the package instructions. Once cooked, drain the pasta and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove the chicken and set aside.
Honey Garlic Sauce
  1. In the same skillet, add the remaining butter along with the minced garlic. Cook for about 30 seconds until the garlic becomes fragrant.
  2. Add the honey, soy sauce, and black pepper. Simmer gently for a few minutes until the sauce thickens and becomes glossy.
  3. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat in the honey garlic sauce.
Creamy Sauce
  1. In a separate pan, warm the heavy cream over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  2. Whisk in the cream cheese and stir until it melts into the cream, forming a smooth sauce.
  3. Add the shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir until the cheeses melt completely and the sauce is rich and creamy.
  4. Add the cooked bowtie pasta to the sauce and toss gently until the pasta is evenly coated.
Serving
  1. Serve the creamy pasta on plates and top with the honey garlic chicken.
  2. Finish with chopped parsley or extra Parmesan if desired.

Notes

Using rotisserie chicken can speed up preparation. Consider adding vegetables like spinach, mushrooms, or broccoli for extra nutrition. A squeeze of fresh lemon juice can enhance the creamy sauce.
