Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a saucepan, heat the au jus over medium heat.
  2. Add the sliced roast beef and simmer until heated through.
  3. Melt a little butter in a skillet and toast the onion bun until golden brown.
Assembly
  1. Once the beef is ready, place a generous amount on the bottom half of the toasted bun.
  2. Pour the hot au jus over the beef.
  3. Top with shredded cheddar cheese, allowing it to melt slightly from the heat of the beef.
  4. Add any optional toppings and cover with the top half of the bun.
  5. Serve immediately with extra au jus for dipping.

Notes

Store leftovers in airtight containers. Refrigerate roast beef and au jus for up to 3 days. Reheat the bun when ready to enjoy.
