- Flatten each ball into a disc, placing your desired filling in the center.
- Fold the edges over the filling and seal well.
Cooking
- Cook the pupusas on a hot griddle or skillet for about 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
Notes
Serve warm with curtido and salsa roja for a refreshing crunch. You can also enjoy with avocado or sour cream. Leftover pupusas can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, or frozen for a month.
