  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water Ensure it's warm but not hot
  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
Toppings
  • Pizza sauce
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Toppings of your choice (e.g., pepperoni, mushrooms, peppers)

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let sit for about 5 minutes until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Mix until a dough forms, then knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
  3. Transfer to a pizza stone or baking sheet.
  4. Spread pizza sauce over the base, sprinkle with cheese, and add your favorite toppings.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
  6. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

Serve your pizza hot, cut into slices, with extra pizza sauce or garlic dipping sauce. Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving again. Tips: Use warm water that is not too hot and avoid overloading toppings.
