Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients
  • 3 lbs boneless eye of round roast Select a lean cut to reduce fat content.
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper Adjust to taste.
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice the beef into thin strips against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and smoked paprika to create a marinade.
  3. Add the beef strips to the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated, and let it marinate for at least 4 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
Cooking
  1. Preheat your dehydrator or oven to 160°F (70°C).
  2. Arrange the marinated beef strips on the dehydrator trays or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Dehydrate or bake the beef for 4-6 hours, or until it reaches your desired level of dryness.
  4. Let the jerky cool before storing it in an airtight container.

Notes

Store in an airtight container. Stays fresh for 1-2 weeks at room temperature. For longer storage, refrigerate or freeze.
