Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 whole egg
For Frying
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a dough forms.
  4. Roll out the dough on a floured surface until it’s about 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Cut into squares or circles.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a pan to 350°F (175°C) and fry the dough pieces until golden brown on both sides.
  2. Drain on paper towels and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
