Preparation
- Preheat the oven according to brownie mix instructions.
- Prepare brownie batter according to the box or your homemade recipe.
- Stir in the optional espresso powder if using.
- Pour the brownie batter into a greased baking pan and bake according to package instructions.
- Once baked, allow the brownies to cool completely.
- Prepare the cheesecake layer by mixing the softened cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Spread the cheesecake batter over the cooled brownies.
- Bake again until the cheesecake sets.
- Allow to cool completely, then chill in the refrigerator.
Serving
- Cut the cheesecake into squares. Place a piece on a plate and warm up hot fudge in the microwave.
- Drizzle the hot fudge generously over each piece. Add toppings like whipped cream, nuts, or a cherry if desired.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. You can freeze individual squares wrapped in plastic wrap.
