Method

Preparation
  1. Start with a clean rock. Wash it to remove any dirt and let it dry.
  2. Use a light pencil to sketch the outline of the black bear and the birch tree on the rock.
Painting
  1. Paint the birch tree first. Use white for the tree trunk and branches, adding grey for shadows.
  2. Next, paint the black bear. Use black paint to fill in the bear’s body, leaving space for the eyes and nose.
  3. Use brown paint for the bear's features. Add a small white dot for the eye to give it life.
  4. Paint the background with green grass and a blue sky if desired.
  5. Allow the paint to dry completely before adding any details.
  6. Once dried, you can apply a sealant if you want the rock to withstand outdoor conditions.

Notes

Store your decorative rock in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, if you want to preserve the vibrancy of the colors. For outdoor rocks, simply leave them in the garden. You can also change the design by featuring other animals or different tree types.
