Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 8 cups tortilla chips (thick, sturdy style) Use thick, sturdy chips to hold up against the sauce.
  • 2 cups green chile sauce (homemade or store-bought) You can control the spice level by choosing mild or hot sauce.
  • 1.5 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese A generous amount for extra gooeyness.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Spread tortilla chips evenly on a large baking sheet.
  3. Pour the green chile sauce over the chips, ensuring they are well coated.
  4. Sprinkle the shredded Monterey Jack cheese generously on top.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve hot.

Notes

Serve hot from the oven, garnished with fresh cilantro, diced onions, or sliced jalapeños. Add sour cream or avocado slices to balance the richness. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven before serving.
