Ingredients

Meat mixture
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
Vegetables
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
Binding ingredients
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
Seasonings
  • 2 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
Topping
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic, breadcrumbs, eggs, milk, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  3. Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, mix ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, then spread it over the top of the meatloaf.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 1 hour or until cooked through and juices run clear.
  2. Let it rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Make sure to mix the ingredients well for a good blend of flavors. Don’t skip letting the meatloaf rest before slicing; this helps it hold its shape. Experiment with spices like paprika or oregano for a different flavor profile.
