Ingredients

Fruits and Vegetables
  • 1 piece red apple Use for Apple Rose garnish
  • Fresh bunch mint Use as decoration in Apple Rose garnish
  • 1 piece cucumber Use for Cucumber Flowers
  • 1 piece lemon Use for Lemon Twists and to prevent apple browning
  • 1 piece strawberry Use for Strawberry Rose garnish
Tools
  • 1 piece cocktail pick or skewer For assembling garnishes

Method

Preparation
  1. For the Apple Rose Garnish, use a vegetable peeler to peel a long strip from the red apple. Roll this strip tightly and thread it onto a cocktail pick with a piece of fresh mint. Squeeze some lemon juice on it to prevent browning if prepared ahead of time.
  2. For the Cucumber Flowers, cut a small piece of cucumber. Create a hole in the middle and slice it thinly into about 10 pieces. Roll these slices tightly, insert one end into the cucumber base, and fan them out to form a flower shape.
  3. For the Lemon Twists, cut a thin slice of lemon. Make small cuts into the inside of the lemon rind and then twist it around a skewer. Hold the twisted lemon over a glass to let the citrus oils enhance your drink.
  4. For the Strawberry Rose Drink Garnish, take a strawberry and place it on a cocktail pick. Make angled cuts around the base, middle, and tip of the strawberry. Carefully fan out these cuts to create a rose effect.
  5. For the Citrus Hearts, peel two slices of citrus rind, like orange or grapefruit. Cut them to size if needed and thread them onto a cocktail pick to form a heart shape.
Serving
  1. These garnishes can be served with cocktails, mocktails, or as decoration on dessert plates. Place them on the rim of your drinks or arrange them beautifully on a serving platter.
Storage
  1. Store the apple and strawberry garnishes in the fridge with a little lemon juice to prevent browning. Cucumber flowers should be made just before serving. Lemon twists and citrus hearts can be prepared in advance and stored in an airtight container.
