Ingredients

For the foil packets
  • 1 pound steak (your choice) Choose your preferred cut like sirloin or ribeye.
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced Yukon gold or red potatoes work well.
  • 4 tablespoons garlic butter Store-bought or homemade garlic butter.
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Adds extra garlic flavor.
  • Salt and pepper to taste Season according to preference.
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional) Adds a nice color and flavor.

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine diced potatoes, garlic butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Cut the steak into cubes and add to the bowl, mixing everything together.
  4. Divide the mixture between sheets of aluminum foil, forming packets.
Cooking
  1. Place the foil packets in the air fryer basket and cook for about 15-20 minutes, until the steak is cooked to your preferred doneness and the potatoes are tender.
  2. Carefully open the packets (watching for steam) and serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

If you have leftovers, let the foil packets cool completely. Store any uneaten packets in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, place packets back in the air fryer for a few minutes or use a microwave until warm. You can customize the recipe by using chicken instead of steak, adjusting the cooking time as needed.
