  • 8 slices slices brioche or challah bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter (for frying)
Creamy Cheesecake Filling
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup strawberry preserves or jam
Egg Coating
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 tablespoons whole milk
Final Touch
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese together with the powdered sugar until smooth and creamy.
Assembling the Sandwiches
  1. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over four slices of brioche or challah bread.
  2. Add a layer of thinly sliced fresh strawberries and spoon a small amount of strawberry preserves on top.
  3. Place the remaining bread slices on top and gently press each sandwich together.
Preparing the Egg Coating
  1. Whisk together the eggs and whole milk in a shallow dish until fully combined.
  2. Dip each assembled sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are coated.
Frying
  1. Heat butter in a skillet over medium heat until melted and bubbling.
  2. Cook the coated sandwiches in the skillet for about 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.
  3. Remove the sandwiches and place them on paper towels to absorb excess butter.
Serving
  1. Dust the sandwiches generously with powdered sugar.
  2. Cut each sandwich diagonally and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

For the best results, use thick slices of bread and ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easy mixing. Customize with extra fruits or chocolate chips if desired.
