Preparation
- Boil quail eggs until hard-boiled, about 4-5 minutes, then peel them.
- In a bowl, mix flour, water, salt, pepper, and orange food coloring to make a batter.
Frying
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Dip each quail egg in the batter, then carefully fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
Serving
- Serve hot with vinegar or your choice of dipping sauce.
Notes
If you have leftover fried quail eggs, let them cool down to room temperature. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator and consume within a couple of days. Reheat them in an oven or toaster oven for the best results.
