Classic French Fries
- Peel and cut the potatoes into thin sticks.
- Rinse them under cold water and pat them dry completely.
- Heat the oil in a pot to 170–180°C (340–355°F).
- Fry the potatoes for 5–7 minutes until they turn golden brown.
- Drain them on paper towels and season with salt.
Loaded Cheese Fries
- Make the classic fries first.
- Place the fries on a baking tray.
- Sprinkle cheese and cooked bacon on top.
- Bake in the oven at 200°C (400°F) for 5–7 minutes until the cheese has melted.
Garlic Parmesan Fries
- Fry the potatoes until they are crispy (5–7 minutes).
- In a separate pan, sauté minced garlic in a little oil for about one minute.
- Toss the fries with the garlic, parmesan cheese, and parsley.
- Serve them immediately.
Spicy Cajun Fries
- Fry the potatoes until they are golden brown (5–7 minutes).
- Mix the paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and oil together.
- Toss the fried potatoes in the spice mixture until they are well coated.
- Serve hot.
Notes
For extra crispiness, try double frying: First fry the potatoes for 3–4 minutes, let them rest for 5 minutes, and then fry them again for 2–3 minutes. Serve French fries hot and fresh with various dipping sauces.
