  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans Feel free to substitute your favorite nuts.
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour For a gluten-free option, substitute with a gluten-free baking blend.
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Should be softened, not melted.
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a pie dish.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well blended.
  4. In another bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually stir this mixture into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  5. Fold in the walnuts, white chocolate chips, and milk chocolate chips.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pie dish, spreading it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Serve the pie warm or at room temperature. It can be enjoyed on its own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Drizzling with chocolate sauce or caramel can also elevate the flavor.
