Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the brioche into bite-sized cubes and spread them evenly in a greased baking dish.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, half & half, heavy cream, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and salt.
- Pour the mixture evenly over the bread cubes, ensuring all the bread gets soaked.
- Gently press the bread down so it absorbs the egg mixture.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the top.
Baking
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the casserole is golden and set in the middle.
Serving
- Dust with powdered sugar and top with fresh fruit.
- Drizzle with maple syrup just before serving.
Notes
If you have leftovers, let the casserole cool completely before covering it. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm it in the oven or microwave. For variations, consider adding chocolate chips or nuts for extra flavor, and substitute the brioche with challah or croissants.
