Main Ingredients
  • 1 lb ground beef Can substitute with turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 head of lettuce, chopped
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend) You can switch the cheese if preferred.
  • 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed You can replace meat with more beans for vegetarian option.
  • 1 cup corn, canned or frozen
  • 1 bag Doritos, crushed Keep separate until serving for extra crunch.
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup sour cream Optional for garnish.

Method
 

Cooking
  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  2. Drain any excess fat and season with taco seasoning, salt, and pepper.
Mixing Ingredients
  1. In a large bowl, combine the chopped lettuce, cherry tomatoes, shredded cheese, black beans, and corn.
  2. Add the seasoned ground beef to the salad mixture and toss to combine.
Serving
  1. Just before serving, add the crushed Doritos, salsa, and sour cream, then gently mix.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

Store any leftovers in an airtight container, keeping the Doritos separate until ready to serve. For variations, add toppings like olives, jalapeƱos, or diced bell peppers.
