  • 1 pound ground beef Can substitute with ground turkey or chicken.
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 4 cups Doritos Can substitute with other chips like Fritos.
  • 2 cups shredded cheese Use different types of cheese for variety.
  • 1 can black beans Can substitute with pinto or kidney beans.
  • 1 cup salsa
  • 1 cup sour cream For serving.
  • to taste Chopped lettuce and diced tomatoes For topping.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  3. Add the taco seasoning and water to the beef, stirring until well combined and heated through.
Layering and Baking
  1. In a large baking dish, layer half of the Doritos, then half of the beef mixture, half of the black beans, half of the salsa, and half of the cheese.
  2. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serving
  1. Serve hot, topped with sour cream, lettuce, and tomatoes.

Notes

Allow leftovers to cool completely before storing in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days, or freeze for 2-3 months.
