Preparation
- Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions and bake in a 9x13 inch pan. Allow to cool completely.
- In a medium bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping.
Layering
- Once the brownies are cooled, cut them into equal squares and layer them in the serving dish.
- Spread a layer of the cream cheese mixture over the brownies. Repeat the layering process until all ingredients are used, finishing with the cream cheese mixture on top.
Finishing Touches
- Drizzle chocolate syrup over the top and sprinkle with nuts or chocolate chips if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow it to set.
Notes
Serve chilled, slice into squares, and garnish with extra chocolate syrup or nuts. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3 to 4 days.
