Preparation
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then place them in the bottom of the crockpot.
- Scatter minced garlic over the chicken and distribute butter pieces over the top.
- Pour heavy cream evenly over everything to coat the chicken.
Cooking
- Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours, until chicken is tender and shreds easily.
- Using two forks, shred the cooked chicken directly in the crockpot.
- Cook fettuccine in boiling water according to package directions, then drain and reserve a small cup of pasta water.
- Add drained fettuccine, shredded parmesan cheese, and crumbled bacon to the crockpot, and stir to combine.
- Cover and let sit for 3 to 5 minutes to melt the parmesan and absorb flavors.
- Serve hot from the crockpot.
Notes
For even richer flavor, consider adding mozzarella cheese, fresh parsley, or sun-dried tomatoes. This dish pairs well with garlic bread, Caesar salad, or roasted vegetables.
