Ingredients
  

For the chicken and sauce
  • 2 pieces boneless chicken breasts Slow cooked for 4 to 5 hours.
  • 1 cup heavy cream Essential for the Alfredo sauce.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Mellowed during cooking.
  • 2 tbsp butter Adds richness.
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta Cooked separately.
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese Stirred in at the end.
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled Adds texture and flavor.
  • to taste salt and pepper Season chicken.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then place them in the bottom of the crockpot.
  2. Scatter minced garlic over the chicken and distribute butter pieces over the top.
  3. Pour heavy cream evenly over everything to coat the chicken.
Cooking
  1. Cover and cook on LOW for 4 to 5 hours, until chicken is tender and shreds easily.
  2. Using two forks, shred the cooked chicken directly in the crockpot.
  3. Cook fettuccine in boiling water according to package directions, then drain and reserve a small cup of pasta water.
  4. Add drained fettuccine, shredded parmesan cheese, and crumbled bacon to the crockpot, and stir to combine.
  5. Cover and let sit for 3 to 5 minutes to melt the parmesan and absorb flavors.
  6. Serve hot from the crockpot.

Notes

For even richer flavor, consider adding mozzarella cheese, fresh parsley, or sun-dried tomatoes. This dish pairs well with garlic bread, Caesar salad, or roasted vegetables.
