Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup Sweet Baby Ray’s BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: sliced green onions for garnish

Method

Preparation
  1. Place the chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of your crockpot for even cooking.
  2. Mix together the BBQ sauce, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a medium bowl until fully combined.
  3. Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken, making sure each piece is coated.
  4. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is tender and can be easily pulled apart with a fork.
  5. Shred the chicken directly in the crockpot using two forks and stir it back into the sauce.
  6. Serve warm and garnish with sliced green onions if desired.

Notes

Slow cooking keeps the chicken moist while soaking up barbecue sauce flavors. Avoid overcooking on high and adding extra liquid to maintain sauce thickness.
