Preparation
- Dice the potatoes into roughly 3/4 inch cubes and layer them in the bottom of the crockpot.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium-high heat until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess grease and add to the crockpot.
- Sprinkle garlic powder, salt, and pepper over the beef layer.
- Pour heavy cream over the entire casserole.
- Cover and cook on LOW for 5 to 6 hours or until potatoes are tender.
- In the last 5 minutes, sprinkle cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon on top to melt.
- Serve immediately and enjoy while the cheese is gooey.
Notes
For a cheeseburger twist, consider adding diced pickles or drizzling with burger sauce made from mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, and pickle relish.
