Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey Adjust sweetness to taste.
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
For the Chicken
  • 1 pound chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil Make sure the oil is hot for crispy texture.
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
For Serving
  • 1 cup cooked rice Serve over warm rice.

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, garlic, and ginger to create the sticky sauce.
Cooking
  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add chicken pieces and cook until crispy and golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Pour the sticky sauce over the chicken and stir to coat well.
  4. Let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens.
Serving
  1. Serve the chicken over warm rice and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

To store leftovers, let the chicken cool completely and then transfer it to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in a microwave or skillet until heated through. For added crunch, sprinkle chopped nuts like peanuts or cashews on top before serving. You can also add vegetables like bell peppers, broccoli, or snap peas for extra nutrition.
