  • 2 cans (5 oz) tuna, drained Make sure to drain the tuna well to prevent soggy patties.
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup bread crumbs For crunchier texture, use panko breadcrumbs instead.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Oil for frying

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a bowl, mix the drained tuna, shredded cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, bread crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until combined.
  2. Form the mixture into small patties.
Cooking
  1. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Fry the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Serve warm.

Notes

These patties can be served as they are or with a side of your favorite dipping sauce. Try serving with tartar sauce, sriracha, or a simple salad. For a quick burger-style meal, place them on a bun with lettuce and tomato. Leftover patties can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
