Ingredients

Pasta Base
  • 8 ounces pasta (spaghetti or fettuccine work well)
Creamy Garlic Sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream For a lighter version, use half-and-half.
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese Can substitute with nutritional yeast for a dairy-free option.
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Method

Cooking the Pasta
  1. Begin by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions. Make sure to salt the water well to enhance the flavor.
Making the Sauce
  1. While the pasta cooks, heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, but not browned.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream and stir well. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add the grated Parmesan cheese to the cream and mix until melted and smooth. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Combining and Serving
  1. Once the pasta is done cooking, drain it and add it directly into the sauce. Toss to coat all the pasta evenly.
  2. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

If you have leftovers, let the pasta cool down, place it in an airtight container, and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, warm it in the microwave or gently in a pan, adding a splash of cream or water to loosen the sauce. You can add cooked chicken or vegetables to the pasta for extra nutrition. Make sure not to overcook the garlic to avoid a bitter taste.
