  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Ensure it is well softened for easier mixing.
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (like cheddar or mozzarella) Feel free to experiment with different types of cheese.
  • 1/2 cup diced onions Add more or less according to your taste.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg for egg wash Beaten prior to applying.
Dough
  • 1 can crescent roll dough

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, cream cheese, shredded cheese, diced onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  4. Place a spoonful of the chicken mixture at the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Roll up the dough, starting at the wide end and rolling toward the tip, to enclose the filling.
  6. Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the rolls.
Baking
  1. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Serving
  1. Serve warm and enjoy with a simple side salad or steamed vegetables.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain flakiness.
