  • 1 pound Corned Beef Sliced or shredded
  • 8 ounces shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2 cups Sauerkraut Drained
  • 1 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 1 loaf Rye bread, cubed Fresh bread preferred
  • 2 tablespoons Butter For dotting on top

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Thousand Island dressing.
  3. In a greased baking dish, layer the cubed rye bread and the corned beef mixture.
  4. Dot the top with butter.
Baking
  1. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
  2. Serve warm.

Notes

For best texture, use fresh bread. Toast the rye bread cubes for extra flavor. Add hot sauce or spicy mustard for a kick. Don't skip the butter on top for a crispy crust.
