Ingredients
  

Donut Batter
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour Make sure to measure correctly to avoid dense donuts.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup whole milk Can substitute with almond milk.
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Cinnamon Sugar Coating
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar For coating.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon For coating.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, combine milk, melted butter, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Transfer the batter to a piping bag and pipe the batter into the donut pan.
Baking
  1. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden.
Coating
  1. Mix sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl.
  2. Once the donuts are cool, dip them in melted butter and then roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Notes

These donuts are best served fresh, warm, and slightly coated in cinnamon sugar. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for about two days, or freeze for up to three months.
