Cinnamon Roll Apple Lasagna

Ingredients
  

Apple Filling
  • 4 cups peeled, diced apples (about 4 medium apples) A mix of sweet and tart apples is recommended.
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar Adjust based on the sweetness of the apples.
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch For thickening the apple filling.
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Assembly
  • 1 package cinnamon roll dough
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce Drizzle in between layers.
  • 1 cup cream cheese frosting Drizzle over the top before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the diced apples, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon, mixing until well coated.
  3. Roll out the cinnamon roll dough and cut it into strips.
Layering
  1. In a baking dish, layer some of the cinnamon roll strips at the bottom.
  2. Add half of the apple filling.
  3. Drizzle with caramel sauce.
  4. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of cinnamon roll strips on top.
Baking
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are cooked through and golden.
  2. Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle with cream cheese frosting before serving.

Notes

Best served warm. For added flavor, consider adding nuts or using other fruits. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
