Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the diced apples, granulated sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon, mixing until well coated.
- Roll out the cinnamon roll dough and cut it into strips.
Layering
- In a baking dish, layer some of the cinnamon roll strips at the bottom.
- Add half of the apple filling.
- Drizzle with caramel sauce.
- Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of cinnamon roll strips on top.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cinnamon rolls are cooked through and golden.
- Allow to cool slightly, then drizzle with cream cheese frosting before serving.
Notes
Best served warm. For added flavor, consider adding nuts or using other fruits. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
