Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture until combined.
- In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the vanilla extract and powdered sugar, mixing until well combined.
Baking
- Scoop out dough for each cookie and create a small indentation in the center. Fill each indentation with the cream cheese mixture.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the cookies are lightly golden.
- Allow to cool and enjoy!
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Pairs well with milk, tea, or coffee. Can dust with additional powdered sugar for a sweeter touch.
