Ingredients
  

Dry Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
Topping
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon for topping

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, vegetable oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients until just combined.
Baking
  1. Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, then sprinkle half of this mixture over the batter.
  3. Pour the remaining batter on top and then sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  4. Drizzle melted butter over the top.
  5. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Let it cool before slicing and enjoy!

Notes

Serve warm, best with a pat of butter or alongside coffee or tea. For a special touch, sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving. Store wrapped at room temperature for 2-3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
