Ingredients
  

Crust
  • 36 pieces Oreo cookies, finely crushed
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
Cream Cheese Layer
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups whipped topping, divided
Chocolate Pudding Layer
  • 2 packages chocolate instant pudding mix (3.9 ounces each)
  • 1 cup milk Whisk together with the pudding mix until thickened.
Topping
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips Sprinkle on top before serving.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan to form the crust.
  3. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
Cream Cheese Layer
  1. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  2. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping.
  3. Spread this mixture over the cooled Oreo crust.
Chocolate Pudding Layer
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until it thickens.
  2. Spread it over the cream cheese layer.
Topping
  1. Spread the remaining whipped topping over the chocolate pudding layer.
  2. Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top.
Chill
  1. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.

Notes

Store any leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3 to 5 days. Let it sit for a few minutes at room temperature before serving again for easier cutting. For extra crunch, consider adding chopped nuts or a layer of crushed candy bars. You can change flavors by using different puddings, like vanilla or butterscotch.
