Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time.
- In another bowl, mix together the flour, baking soda, and salt; gradually blend into the creamed mixture.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
- Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.
Notes
Chocolate chip cookies are best served warm, straight from the oven, or at room temperature. Pair them with a glass of milk for a classic combination. To keep them fresh, store in an airtight container at room temperature for about a week or freeze them with parchment paper separation.
