Ingredients
  

For the Brownie Base
  • 1 box box of brownie mix Prepared according to package instructions
For the Cookie Dough
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened Ensure it's softened for easy mixing
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips Feel free to substitute with different types of chocolate chips or add nuts.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions and set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract until well blended.
  4. Gradually add the flour and salt, stirring until combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  6. Scoop out small balls of the cookie dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Freeze the cookie dough balls for about 30 minutes until firm.
Baking
  1. Preheat the oven and prepare the brownie mix as per package instructions.
  2. Pour half of the brownie batter into a greased baking dish.
  3. Place frozen cookie dough balls on top of the brownie batter.
  4. Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cookie dough balls.
  5. Bake according to brownie mix instructions.
  6. Let cool before serving.

Notes

Serve warm or at room temperature. For extra flavor, top with ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce. To store, keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, refrigerate for about a week, or freeze for up to a month.
