Preparation
- Prepare the brownie mix according to package instructions and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and brown sugar until smooth.
- Mix in the vanilla extract until well blended.
- Gradually add the flour and salt, stirring until combined.
- Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
- Scoop out small balls of the cookie dough and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Freeze the cookie dough balls for about 30 minutes until firm.
Baking
- Preheat the oven and prepare the brownie mix as per package instructions.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into a greased baking dish.
- Place frozen cookie dough balls on top of the brownie batter.
- Pour the remaining brownie batter over the cookie dough balls.
- Bake according to brownie mix instructions.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. For extra flavor, top with ice cream or a drizzle of chocolate sauce. To store, keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, refrigerate for about a week, or freeze for up to a month.
