  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
Wet Ingredients
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup milk Can substitute some with coffee for richer flavor
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Can substitute with almond extract for variation
  • Optional powdered sugar for dusting

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix the melted butter, milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, stirring until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  2. Let it cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to three days, or in the fridge for a week. Freeze for up to three months, wrapped well. Avoid overmixing the batter for a light texture. Add chocolate chips or nuts for variation.
