Ingredients

For the Nest Mixture
  • 4 cups Cocoa Rice Krispies cereal Regular Rice Krispies can be substituted.
  • 1 cup milk chocolate chips Ghirardelli, Guittard, or Nestlé Toll House are recommended.
  • ½ cup creamy peanut butter Use regular commercial peanut butter.
For Decoration
  • 1 cup Cadbury Mini Eggs Any pastel-coated chocolate eggs can be used.

Method

Preparation
  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Combine chocolate chips and peanut butter in a microwave-safe glass bowl. Microwave on medium power in 30-second intervals, stirring until fully melted and smooth.
  3. Measure Cocoa Rice Krispies into a mixing bowl and pour the chocolate-peanut butter mixture over the cereal. Fold gently until completely coated.
  4. Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and press a gentle indentation in the center of each mound.
  5. While still soft, place 2-3 Cadbury Mini Eggs into the center of each nest, ensuring they are slightly embedded.
  6. Let nests set at room temperature for about 1 hour, or refrigerate for 20-30 minutes for quicker results.

Notes

Work quickly with the chocolate mixture as it cools. Use lightly greased hands for shaping nests. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or refrigerated for up to 2 weeks. Nests can be frozen for up to 2 months.
